Hysterosalpingogram (HSG)

Definition:

A test, sometimes included during a woman’s infertility work-up, that allows the doctor to evaluate the shape of the uterus and whether or not the fallopian tubes are open. The test involves injecting a dye through the cervix, and taking x-rays to see where the dye goes.
