Stress and Getting Pregnant – Are You Stressing Out About Stress?
Can stress keep you from getting pregnant? It’s certainly a hot topic, with respected experts on both sides of the issue. But the majority of the research says stress alone does not cause infertility. Still, stress can lead to certain behaviors which can affect your fertility. Learn what to look out for in this new article on stress and getting pregnant.
Knowing that stress isn’t causing my infertility doesn’t seem to lessen my worry on the topic. Ironic, isn’t it? I stress about the idea that stress may be causing my infertility. And infertility itself causes tremendous stress!
I do work hard at lowering the amount of stress in my life. I practice yoga, and I listen to visual meditation tapes. (I’ll be reviewing a great one for infertility in just a week or so!) I have this lovely scented eye bag – lavender and some other herb that smells divine – and use it when I have trouble falling asleep at night, or for a quick quiet moment.
Still, I worry about the stress in my life. Do I work too hard, do I sleep enough? Can I eat better, should I practice my yoga more?
