When you decide to take fertility drugs, you take the risk that you may get pregnant with twins – or more! The risk of getting pregnant with twins while taking Clomid is 10%, while the risk with stronger fertility drugs is as high as 30%.
Some couples would love to get pregnant with twins. They feel it's a faster way to build their family, after years of trying to conceive. Others worry about the increased risk of complications during a multiple pregnancy, or wonder how they would care for two (or more!) babies at once. How would you react if you got pregnant with twins? What about triplets or more?

- I gave birth to fraternal twin boys in may 2000 after taking clomid and trying for 7 yrs. I carried them to 38 weeks and their birth weights were 6lb 2 and 7lb 2. Clomid does work my boys are my proof, good luck to all you trying to get pregnant... :)

Boy girl twins
- 25 weeks preggo with boy girl twins. No drugs, just happened natural. Was trying for girl after 2 boys, ages 11 and 7, and God blessed us with a girl and another boy to add to the gang. Pregnancy has been a roller-coaster but cant wait to see and hold little bundles.

Problems to get pregnant
- Hi I am 24 and I am married for 2 years now, I discovered one month ago that I have PCOS since I did not have my period already 5 months I went to the Dr. and I was diagnosed With PCOS. My Dr. said that I will have to go on a Clomid treatment as Progesterone treatment did not resulted. I am really willing to have Twins as I have had a really hard time when I got to know that I have problems to get pregnant but I am also a little bit worried about twins being born premature and problems that they may face because of it. I would like to know if having premature twins who have problems is really common? Because I would love to go for it but I am a little scared as well as I have heard that twins often have a lot of healthy problems as they are born sooner.

Clomid twins
- I was given clomid at age 26, I did give birth to twin daughters in 1975. They were almost 6 weeks early, weight 4lb 14oz and 4lb 9oz. They are now 36 years old and have 7 beautiful and intelligent children between the two of them. I did go into ovarian failure at age 33, I don't know if there is any connection. I also had a son two years older than the twins and had not taken any fertility drugs but did take over a year to conceive. They had no physical or mental problems and have always been a joy we are so blessed to have them. I am now 63 years old and blessed with a wonderful family.

Proud Mommy of Clomid Twins
- My husband and I tried to conceive for 2 years before I was put on Clomid. 1st round of 50mg didn't work; 2nd round of 100mg worked like gold! My boy/girl twins are now four years old! Clomid works! They are my proof!

it would be amazing
- Being a twin myself (my mum miscarried my twin at 13 weeks) and carrying twins too (I miscarried my boy's twin at 4 weeks), it would be amazing to carry twins to the end and enjoy a long happy life with them..... I am going to my gyn as have been diagnosed with PCOS, but go to see him in March. Hopefully he will start me on clomid because I have been ttc for 10 months now. Good luck 2 all you ladys xx

Clomid twins
- I got pregnant on Clomid 100mg days 5-9 and hcg shot on the day I got my positive OPK. The hcg increased the likelihood of twins up to 20% I had boy/girl twins, and I am LOVING it, they are so precious!!

I want them, husband says no
- I am 36 and have two kids ages 11 and 9 from my 1st marriage. Due to a divorce, I stopped having kids (always wanted more). Now I'm remarried and we want a kid together. I had a mc and am about to start clomid. I told him the 10% risk of twins and he said "better stop taking it then." For my family, twins would be perfect cuz while the other 2 are older and go to their dad's house e/o weekend, the twins would have a constant playmate. What to do??

I have Clomid Twins - Fraternal Boys
- Had a set of clomid twins in August 2009. I carried them to 36.5 weeks and they weighed in at 6lb 10oz and 6lb 2oz. I was very fortunate to carry them for so long. I was able to take them home with me and I breastfed them for a year. Although they are great babies I am finding the second year tougher than the first. I also have a 3 year old. It is a lot of work but they can be great fun as well. I'm currently trying for baby #4. I got pregnant on my second round of Clomid - 200mg with the twins. 200mg appears to be too much for me this time around and I developed a cyst so I'm sitting this round out and will try again at 100mg next cycle. For all of you hoping for twins, I had a great pregnancy and was very lucky but many babies and moms are not so lucky. There are many risks - increased incidence of preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, premature birth, etc. Please don't take this lightly. Many premature babies have permanent physical and mental deficits.
