From the article: Clomid Basics

Deciding to move forward with fertility treatments isn’t easy, and Clomid treatment is often one of the first treatments tried for female factor infertility or unexplained infertility. You may have been trying for a year or more before seeing a doctor, and hearing that you should consider fertility drugs can be anxiety-provoking.

How long did you try to conceive before considering fertility drugs? How do you feel about starting treatment with Clomid? Are you anxious? Hopeful? Or maybe a little of both? Share your feelings on starting Clomid below.

Clomid, fingers crossed

On second cycle of clomid, I'm not getting my hopes up, reading on the net more people unsuccessful. Fingers crossed to us all on clomid!

I trust God to do it for me

Started 1st cycle of 100mg of clomid. I ask the Lord to do what He has promised and what he alone can do. I'm praying for you all. Jesus Christ's name is above every other name. Be it uterine fibroid or whatever-every knee must bow. Every problem must flee in Jesus name. So my sisters and my brothers, let us hold on fast to our profession of faith. He said before they speak, I will hear. While they are speaking , I will answer says God. Keep hope alive. This God must take all the glory and He will do it for you. Just hold on...help is on the way. It may not come when you want it, but it'll be right there on time...help is on the way...!

Wanting to start Clomid!

I am willing to start Clomid right now, because I really want to conceive a child with my husband.

TTC, 2nd child

I have an 11 month old son courtesy of being on 100mcg of Clomid and trying for about 8 months. Now we're TTC another child and trying to get another perscription for Clomid. It's amazing the hoops we have to go through to get it. My doctor now wants to instead perscribe me Syntrhoid to bring my TSH level down when it's only 2.35 (3 or less is considered by most to be normal for conceiving). Really? Why can't we just get Clomid again?? My best advice is be patient - it may take a few tries with the Clomid and different dosages. Good luck to all giving it a try!

excited and optimistic

i am just recently married on feb 12 so my hubby and i have only been trying for a baby for 3mons! however i am very irregukar and sometimes i can go 3months without a period which can put alot of stress and dubts into your mind, you know> my dr put me on AYGESTIN to regulate my period, i just took my last pill 2days ago AND MY PERIOD CAME THE VERY NEXT DAY!!! so 21days after i start i have to get bloodwork done to see if im ovulating...if i am then i get a pat on the back and a "have fun trying, you're a-ok!" if they discover im not ovulating then i will start my 1st round of clomid next month!! im kinda iffy as to is it a GOOD thing to try on my own? OR do i want to be put on clomid so that i can have a baby sooner?? We'll see what happens!!!!!

ALL sorts of mixed feelings

I have mixed feelings in trying any kind of fertility drug or supplement at this point. It has been so long since the last time I was preg., but any advice would be of GREAT help right now.

In need of prayer

Yesterday I started my first round of clomid. I have been on metformin since December 2010. (Treating pcos) My husband has children from a previous marriage and I have a daughter also, from my youth. Lol! We have already decided not to go to any extreme measures to have more children. So basically it's either the clomid or nothing. Please keep us in your prayers. I'm always praying for all the wanna be mommies!

Psalms 113:9

It reads "He maketh the barren women to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD." I hold this scripture dear to my heart, and I quote it often because of my difficulty with conceiving. My husband and I have been married for almost 4 yrs and have not had any success due to me having PCOS. I have been taking Metformin since September of 09 with no success, and after a Dr. visit today, he finally prescribed me Clomid! I will start taking it next month in April 2011, so please pray for me and my husband! Seriously! Bow your heads, close your eyes and pray to Jesus (only :) for our success and I'll be praying for you. Blessings and success to everyone!

The hubby and I just finished the first cycle of Clomid this month. My symptoms included naseua, headaches, and moodiness. Bloodwork is set for Jan. 17, 2011 so we are hopeful that this will work!
