"I Dream of Babies..."- a glimpse into my journey to overcome infertility

How Long Have You Been Blogging

I just started blogging a couple of weeks ago after our first visit to an RE. I had such a mixture of emotions after that appointment that I figured the best way to sort them all out was to write.

Where Are You on Your Trying to Conceive Journey

We have been trying to conceive for almost ten months now with no luck whatsoever. With our RE's help we are trying to overcome PCOS.

Why Did You Start Your Blog?

Since I was a child, I turned to my diary to help me sort out my feelings. And being that I never thought I'd be in this situation, blogging (and reading others' blogs) has helped me cope with the reality of this whole process. So far, I have found that blogging right after my appointments with our RE is a great way to debrief and sort our/my feelings about our struggle with infertility. Writing it all out is a great way to avoid bottling it all in which would inevitably lead to an emotional breakdown sooner or later. Blogging is also a great way for me to document the entire process for myself.

Tell Us More About Your Blog

So far I have documented my appointments with our RE. It might sound boring but I try to keep my entries honest and real. That includes pictures, jokes, and a confession or two. Although I am a very sensitive and emotional person (a very true Cancerian), I always try to look at the brighter side of each situation. That often includes finding the humor in any and everything. Yes, even countless blood work and ultrasounds. lol

Advice

  • Write exactly what you feel. There is not right or wrong "way" to blog.
  • Search for other TTC blogs and read what others are going through. It helps to normalize what feels like a very crazy process.
  • Have fun with your blog. I'm so amazed by the very cool and creative blogs out there so I'm learning to add pictures, gadgets, video, etc. in order to jazz up my otherwise very boring blog.
