Vasectomy

Definition:

A vasectomy is a surgical procedure that severs or otherwise obstructs the vas deferens (a small tube responsible for transferring the sperm to the semen).

Men may have a vasectomy as a means of permanent birth control. In some cases, it can be surgically reversed.
