Winter is a notorious time for weight gain. There are the holidays, with all their lavish dishes and their never ending leftover trail. There are the colder and shorter days, which send us running for comfort food. On top of this, your well-intended exercise plans may fall by the wayside if cold weather stops you from your morning walk, or if holiday busyness takes away the time you need to head to the gym.
But lucky for you, you're now aware of these winter weight gain traps! Enjoy your holidays, but don't allow the holidays to devour your health plans. Remember that weight has been tied to lower fertility in men and women. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important. (I realize fertility treatments themselves can also lead to weight gain, but to keep this from getting too depressing, we'll save that for a future post!)
