Coping with InfertilityA diagnosis of infertility brings with it a myriad of emotions and feelings, from sadness to guilt to anger. To make things worse, friends and family may imply that the stress you’re experiencing is causing your infertility. Of course, that’s not true – but their comments can really hurt.
Personally, I found online forums a great source of support. To help deal with stress, I took up yoga and made sure to spend some time every day doing something special for myself, whether that’s taking a nice, long bubble bath, or sitting down to enjoy a good book. I also found professional counseling a wonderful way to deal with the emotional toll of infertility. How can you cope with the stress of infertility? Sometimes, knowing that your feelings are normal can help. In this article on coping with infertility, I share with you some common feelings shared by women and couples going through infertility, along with a few tips on how to cope better. Do you have any tips to share? Please do, by either leaving a comment here, or posting on the forums. Can't wait to hear from you!
